Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack (Wilkes-Barre, PA) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Pittston Patriots (Pittston, PA), 8-5 in a league game.

With the triumph, Wilkes-Barre upgrades its record to 2-5 on the year. The Wolfpack host Hazleton Area (Hazleton, PA) to play the Cougars in a Wyoming Valley 1 game on Wednesday, April 16. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 4-1. Hazleton Area won 8-7 in their recent league game against Crestwood (Mountain Top, PA)

The Patriots now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Crestwood for a Wyoming Valley 1 game on Wednesday, April 16. Pittston will play a Comets squad coming off a 8-7 league loss to Hazleton Area (Hazleton, PA). The Comets record now stands at 4-5.
