Michigan High School Baseball - Dowagiac loses to St. Joseph

April 14, 2026: Dowagiac, MI 49047

St. Joseph Bears (St. Joseph, MI) fans left the game pleased Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Dowagiac Chieftains (Dowagiac, MI), 6-0 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, St. Joseph advances its record to 2-2 on the season. The Bears travel to Central (Battle Creek, MI) to battle the Bearcats in a non-league match on Thursday, April 16. The Bearcats come into the match with a record of 0-3. Central lost 13-0 in their recent non-league match against Quincy (Quincy, MI)

The Chieftains now have a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Vicksburg for a non-league match on Friday, April 17. Dowagiac will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Sturgis (Sturgis, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-2.
