Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC), 16-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Anson upgrades its record to 3-12 on the year. The Bearcats host Monroe (Monroe, NC) to play the Redhawks in a Rocky River 4A/5A game on Tuesday, April 14. The Redhawks enter the game with a record of 1-12. Monroe lost 21-1 in their recent non-league game against Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC)
