Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Pine Tree Pirates (Longview, TX), 12-5 in a league game.

With the triumph, Gilmer improves its record to 13-14 on the year. The Buckeyes travel to Kilgore (Kilgore, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a 4A Region II District 16 game on Friday, April 17. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 1-30. Kilgore lost 17-0 in their recent league game against Henderson (Henderson, TX)
