Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA), 8-7 in a league test.

With the win, Lumpkin County upgrades its record to 9-17 on the season. The Indians host Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA) to battle the Tigers in a AAA Region 7 test on Monday, April 18. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 16-11. Dawson County lost 11-0 in their recent league test against North Hall (Gainesville, GA)

With the defeat, Gilmer falls to 10-15 on the season. The Bobcats host Cherokee Bluff (Flowery Branch, GA) to battle the Bears in a AAA Region 7 test on Monday, April 18. The Bears come into the test with a record of 19-8. Cherokee Bluff won 6-1 in their recent league test against White County (Cleveland, GA)
