The Cooper Pirates crushed the visiting Wylie Bulldogs baseball team by a count of 18-8 in Friday's league bout.
The Pirates now possess a 19-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monterey for a 5A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, April 19. Cooper will face a Plainsmen team coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to Randall (Amarillo, TX). The Plainsmen record now stands at 4-8.
Next, the Bulldogs face the Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX) in a 5A Region I District 4 bout, on Tuesday, April 19. Wylie will attempt to move on its 15-5 season record. The Westerners enter the bout with a 2-6 record after their 5-3 league win over Cooper (Abilene, TX).
