In Friday's non-league battle, the host Stanhope Elmore Mustangs soccer squad scored a close 7-0 triumph over the Marbury Bulldogs.
The Mustangs (10-7) will now prepare for their battle against Benjamin Russell (Alexander City, AL). The Wildcats come into the 6A Area 5 battle with a 7-5 record. In their last battle, Benjamin Russell nudged Russell County (Seale, AL), 10-0, in a non-league battle.
