In Friday's non-league contest, the Bellevue Redmen (Bellevue, OH) softball team held off the host Shelby Whippets (Shelby, OH), by a margin of 10-9.
With the triumph, Bellevue moves its record to 4-0 on the year. The Redmen travel to Norwalk (Norwalk, OH) to play the Truckers in a Sandusky Bay - Lake contest on Saturday, April 16. The Truckers come into the contest with a record of 3-4. Norwalk lost 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Monroeville (Monroeville, OH)
In their next game, the Whippets play the Highland Fighting Scots (Marengo, OH) in a Mid Ohio Athletic contest, on Tuesday, April 19. Shelby will attempt to move on its 7-3 season record. The Fighting Scots come into the contest with a 4-2 record after their 12-4 league win over Marion Harding (Marion, OH).
