Howe Bulldogs (Howe, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bells Panthers (Bells, TX), 9-8 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 5-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Leonard for a 3A Region II District 11 challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Howe will face a Tigers squad coming off a 19-0 league loss to Bonham (Bonham, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 4-13.

With the loss, Bells falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Panthers host Bonham (Bonham, TX) to face the Warriors in a 3A Region II District 11 challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 17-9. Bonham won 19-0 in their recent league challenge against Leonard (Leonard, TX)
