In Friday's non-league contest, the Buckhorn Bucks (New Market, AL) softball team held off the visiting Pisgah Eagles (Pisgah, AL), by a margin of 7-6.
With the triumph, Buckhorn moves its record to 13-12 on the year. The Bucks host Pleasant Valley (Jacksonville, AL) to play the Raiders in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 16. The Raiders come into the contest with a record of 18-13. Pleasant Valley lost 9-8 in their recent non-league contest against Arab (Arab, AL)
In their next game, the Eagles play the Skyline Vikings (Scottsboro, AL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 18. Pisgah will attempt to move on its 9-4 season record. The Vikings come into the contest with a 9-6 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Huntsville (Huntsville, AL).
