Middleton Vikings (Middleton, ID) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Columbia Wildcats (Nampa, ID), 14-4 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they host Vallivue for a 4A Southern Idaho challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Middleton will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 10-7 league win over Ridgevue (Nampa, ID). The Falcons record now stands at 12-6.

With the loss, Columbia falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Bishop Kelly (Boise, ID) to battle the Knights in a 4A Southern Idaho challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 12-4. Bishop Kelly won 25-0 in their recent league challenge against Caldwell (Caldwell, ID)
