Grangeville Bulldogs (Grangeville, ID) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting New Plymouth Pilgrims (New Plymouth, ID), 9-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 5-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Maries for a 2A Central Idaho challenge on Saturday, April 16. Grangeville will battle a Lumberjacks squad coming off a 7-4 non-league loss to Timberlake (Spirit Lake, ID). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 8-2.

With the loss, New Plymouth falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Pilgrims travel to Orofino (Orofino, ID) to battle the Maniacs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. The Maniacs enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Orofino won 11-2 in their recent league challenge against Grangeville (Grangeville, ID)
