Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Palmer Moose (Palmer, AK) and the host Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK), witnessed Palmer's softball squad tip Houston by a count of 4-3.

The Moose now sport a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Homer for a Northern Lights match on Friday, April 22. Palmer will face a Mariners squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to North Pole (North Pole, AK). The Mariners record now stands at 2-7.

With the loss, Houston moves to 0-2 on the season. The Hawks host Colony (Palmer, AK) to face the Knights in a non-league match on Thursday, April 21. The Knights go into the match with a record of 9-3. Colony won 18-4 in their recent non-league match against Wasilla (Wasilla, AK)
