The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Lakeshore Lancers (Stevensville, MI) and the host La Porte Slicers (La Porte, IN), saw Lakeshore's softball squad nip La Porte by a count of 3-0.

The Lancers now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Crown Point for a non-league match on Saturday, April 30.

With the loss, La Porte falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Slicers travel to New Prairie (New Carlisle, IN) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Saturday, April 16. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 4-3. New Prairie won 10-0 in their recent non-league match against South Central (Union Mills, IN)
