The Mattoon Green Wave softball team (Mattoon, IL), was routed 13-0 in Friday's non-league test with the visiting St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL)

Coming up next, the Spartans encounter the Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL) in a Illini Prairie test, on Monday, April 18. St. Joseph-Ogden will attempt to improve on its 11-4 season record. The Hawks come into the test with a 2-9 record after their 11-8 league loss to Rantoul (Rantoul, IL).

The Green Wave (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Effingham (Effingham, IL). The Flaming Hearts come into the Apollo test with a 4-6 record. In their last test, Effingham overcame Champaign Central (Champaign, IL), 12-11, in a non-league test.
