Morehead Panthers (Eden, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC), 24-0 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they host McMichael for a Mid-State 2A challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Morehead will face a Phoenix squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over North Myrtle Beach (Little River, SC). The Phoenix record now stands at 14-4.

With the loss, West Stokes falls to 10-3 on the year. The Wildcats travel to T.W. Andrews (High Point, NC) to clash with the Red Raiders in a Mid-State 2A test on Tuesday, April 19. The Red Raiders come into the test with a record of 0-10. T.W. Andrews lost 25-11 in their recent league test against Reidsville (Reidsville, NC)
