Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Williamsburg Yellowjackets (Williamsburg, KY), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Colonels now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Laurel for a District 50 challenge on Monday, April 18. Whitley County will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 11-7 non-league win over Casey County (Liberty, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Williamsburg falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Knox Central (Barbourville, KY) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 18. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 6-7. Knox Central lost 6-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY)
