The Briarwood Academy Buccaneers baseball team (Warrenton, GA), was overwhelmed 19-4 in Saturday's non-league outing with the host Washington-Wilkes Tigers (Washington, GA)
The Tigers now hold a 18-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln County for a 1A D-II Area 8 outing on Monday, April 17. Washington-Wilkes will face a Red Devils team coming off a 15-5 league loss to Washington-Wilkes (Washington, GA). The Red Devils record now stands at 15-10.
Next, the Buccaneers face the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans (Waynesboro, GA) in a GIAA AA District 4 outing, on Monday, April 17. Briarwood Academy will attempt to advance on its 6-8 season record. The Spartans enter the outing with a 7-6 record after their 12-10 non-league loss to Brentwood (Sandersville, GA).
