In Saturday's league game, the host Shiprock Chieftains baseball team scored a tight 9-6 victory over the Gallup Bengals.
The Chieftains (6-9) will now prepare for their game against Miyamura (Gallup, NM). The Patriots go into the 4A District 1 game with a 7-11 record. In their last game, Miyamura by Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM), 19-2, in a league game.
The Bengals (3-16) will now prepare for their game against Aztec (Aztec, NM). The Tigers go into the 4A District 1 game with a 11-8 record. In their last game, Aztec by Miyamura (Gallup, NM), 16-10, in a league game.
