The Alameda Hornets held off the host Monte Vista Mustangs volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Hornets now have a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Las Lomas for a non-league test on Saturday, April 15. Alameda will confront a Knights team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Berean Christian (Walnut Creek, CA). The Knights record now stands at 7-11.

The Mustangs (6-13) will now prepare for their test against Livermore (Livermore, CA). The Cowboys enter the non-league test with a 12-14 record. In their last test, Livermore was nudged by Foothill (Pleasanton, CA), 3-0, in a league test.
