Alabama High School Softball - Boaz gets by Shelby County

The Boaz Pirates nipped the visiting Shelby County Wildcats softball squad by a final score of 8-7 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Pirates (29-4) will now prepare for their battle against Southside (Gadsden, AL). The Panthers go into the 5A Area 13 battle with a 12-12 record.

The Wildcats now possess a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Maplesville for a non-league battle on Monday, April 17. Shelby County will meet a Red Devils squad coming off a 12-7 non-league loss to West Blocton (West Blocton, AL). The Red Devils record now stands at 20-8.
