The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) and the host Buckeye Valley Barons (Delaware, OH), saw Elgin's softball squad achieve victory over Buckeye Valley by a count of 10-0.

The Comets now sport a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they host Ridgedale for a Northwest Central match on Monday, April 17. Elgin will face a Rockets squad coming off a 13-4 non-league win over Northridge (Johnstown, OH). The Rockets record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Buckeye Valley falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Barons travel to Bexley (Columbus, OH) to face the Lions in a Mid-State - Ohio match on Monday, April 17. The Lions enter the match with a record of 8-5. Bexley won 12-5 in their recent non-league match against Briggs (Columbus, OH)
