Lugoff-Elgin Demons (Lugoff, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hanahan Hawks (Hanahan, SC), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Demons now own a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they host A.C. Flora for a AAAA Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Lugoff-Elgin will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to Irmo (Columbia, SC). The Falcons record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, Hanahan falls to 14-5 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Dorman (Roebuck, SC) to battle the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a record of 17-0. Dorman won 4-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Beaufort (Beaufort, SC)
