The Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) softball the host Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV), 4-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Huskies (11-5) will now prepare for their bout against Braxton County (Sutton, WV). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 1-13 record.

The Cougars now possess a 15-2 record. They play next when they host Bridgeport for a Big Ten bout on Monday, April 17. Lincoln will confront a Indians squad coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV). The Indians record now stands at 7-9.
