Wauseon Indians (Wauseon, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hilltop Cadets (West Unity, OH), 16-12 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Evergreen for a Northwest Ohio Athletic challenge on Monday, April 17. Wauseon will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 26-1 league loss to Bryan (Bryan, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, Hilltop falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Cadets travel to Tinora (Defiance, OH) to battle the Rams in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 17. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 5-4. Tinora won 11-10 in their recent non-league challenge against Allen East (Harrod, OH)
