Lake Roosevelt Raiders (Coulee Dam, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Omak Pioneers (Omak, WA), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tonasket for a 2B Central Washington challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Lake Roosevelt will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 20-2 league loss to Okanogan (Okanogan, WA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Omak falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Cashmere (Cashmere, WA) to battle the Bulldogs in a 1A Caribou Trail challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Cashmere won 22-3 in their recent league challenge against Cascade (Leavenworth, WA)
