Alabama High School Softball - Wicksburg nudges Long

The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Wicksburg Panthers (Newton, AL) and the host Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL), saw Wicksburg's softball squad nip Long by a count of 6-5.
The Panthers now sport a 32-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Geneva for a non-league match on Saturday, April 15. Wicksburg will face a Panthers squad coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Brantley (Brantley, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 14-2.
With the loss, Long falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Rebels host Opp (Opp, AL) to face the Bobcats in a non-league match on Monday, April 24. The Bobcats enter the match with a record of 22-9.
