Texas High School Softball - Overton gets by Union Grove

Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Overton Mustangs (Overton, TX) and the visiting Union Grove Lions (Gladewater, TX), witnessed Overton's softball squad tip Union Grove by a count of 8-7.

The Mustangs now sport a 16-13 record. They play next when they host Hawkins for a 2A Region III District 19 match on Tuesday, April 18. Overton will meet a Hawks squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Big Sandy (Big Sandy, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 17-2.

With the loss, Union Grove moves to 10-7 on the season. The Lions travel to New Summerfield (New Summerfield, TX) to meet the Hornets in a 1A Region III District 19 match on Tuesday, April 18. The Hornets go into the match with a record of 2-7.
