Taconic Braves (Pittsfield, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Pittsfield Generals (Pittsfield, MA), 6-3 in a league challenge.

The Braves now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Mount Greylock Regional for a Berkshire County challenge on Wednesday, April 19.

With the loss, Pittsfield falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Generals travel to Hampshire Regional (Westhampton, MA) to face the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 4-0. Hampshire Regional won 5-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Westfield (Westfield, MA)
