Wautoma Hornets (Wautoma, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ripon Tigers (Ripon, WI), 12-11 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nekoosa for a South Central challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Wautoma will face a Papermakers squad coming off a 15-6 non-league loss to Stratford (Stratford, WI). The Papermakers record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Ripon falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Kettle Moraine Lutheran (Jackson, WI) to face the Chargers in a East Central challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 1-2.
