Ohio High School Softball - Springfield gets by Salem

The Springfield Spartans got by the visiting Salem Quakers softball squad by a count of 16-15 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Spartans (11-2) will now prepare for their battle against Field (Mogadore, OH). The Falcons go into the Portage Trail - Metro battle with a 8-2 record. In their last battle, Field nudged Hudson (Hudson, OH), 12-6, in a non-league battle.

The Quakers now sport a 1-10 record. They play next when they host West Branch for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 18. Salem will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Boardman (Youngstown, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 3-5.
