The Big Rapids Cardinals crushed the visiting Shepherd Bluejays baseball team by a count of 9-3 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Cardinals now possess a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host White Cloud for a Central State bout on Friday, April 19.

Next, the Bluejays face the Alma Panthers (Alma, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, April 18. Shepherd will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 1-1 record after their 9-7 league loss to Garber (Essexville, MI).
