In Monday's non-league game, the visiting Glenwood Titans baseball team scored a tight 5-0 victory over the Normal University Pioneers.
The Titans (12-2) will now prepare for their game against MacArthur (Decatur, IL). The Generals go into the Central State Eight game with a 4-7 record. In their last game, MacArthur tipped Meridian (Macon, IL), 14-2, in a non-league game.
The Pioneers (11-5) will now prepare for their game against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL). The Crimsons go into the Central State Eight game with a 10-5 record. In their last game, Jacksonville was overwhelmed by Taylorville (Taylorville, IL), 1-0, in a non-league game.
