The Sayre Spartans baseball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Madison Southern Eagles to 3 in the Spartans non-league victory on Monday.
The Spartans (9-4) will now prepare for their match against Scott County (Georgetown, KY). The Cardinals go into the District 42 match with a 13-5 record. In their last match, Scott County gained a win over Lafayette (Lexington, KY), 13-7, in a non-league match.
The Eagles (8-6) will now prepare for their match against Pulaski County (Somerset, KY). The Maroons go into the non-league match with a 8-5 record. In their last match, Pulaski County gained a win over Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY), 10-0, in a league match.
