Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) supporters were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC), 4-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Bulldogs confront the Tri-County Jaguars (Murphy, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A challenge, on Thursday, April 18. Murphy will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 2-1 league win over Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC).
The Braves now possess a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they host Swain County for a Smoky Mountain 1A challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Cherokee will confront a Maroon Devils team coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Brevard (Brevard, NC). The Maroon Devils record now stands at 7-3.
