Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Community School of Davidson Spartans (Davidson, NC), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Raptors confront the Christ the King Crusaders (Huntersville, NC) in a Catawba Shores Athletic 1A/2A challenge, on Wednesday, April 17. Mountain Island Charter will attempt to better on its 9-2 season record. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 4-1 league loss to Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC).

The Spartans now have a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln Charter for a Catawba Shores Athletic 1A/2A challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Community School of Davidson will confront a Eagles team coming off a 5-2 league win over Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 3-5.
