George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA), 6-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Maroons confront the Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) in a Mountain Empire challenge, on Tuesday, April 16. George Wythe will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Pioneers enter the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Marion (Marion, VA).

The Maroon Tide now have a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Carroll County for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Galax will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 4-2 league win over Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 6-1.
