The Central Eagles softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Anson Bearcats to 1 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Central moves its record to 5-5 on the year. The Eagles travel to Cheraw (Cheraw, SC) to clash with the Braves in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 16. The Braves come into the game with a record of 0-2.

In their next game, the Bearcats clash with the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) in a non-league game, on Thursday, April 18. Anson will attempt to move on its 0-4 season record. The Colts come into the game with a 6-3 record after their 13-9 non-league loss to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC).
