Westwood Redhawks (Blythewood, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Ridge View Blazers (Columbia, SC), 11-1 in a league challenge.
The Redhawks now own a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they host Irmo for a challenge on Tuesday, April 16.
With the loss, Ridge View falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Blazers travel to Lancaster (Lancaster, SC) to battle the Bruins in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 24. The Bruins enter the challenge with a record of 0-4.
