Robstown Cottonpickers (Robstown, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bishop Badgers (Bishop, TX), 4-2 in a league challenge.

The Cottonpickers now sport a 19-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Calallen for a 4A Region IV District 31 challenge on Friday, April 19. Robstown will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 12-1 league win over King (Kingsville, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 24-2.

With the loss, Bishop falls to 17-8 on the campaign. The Badgers host Tuloso-Midway (Corpus Christi, TX) to face the Warriors & Cherokees in a 4A Region IV District 31 challenge on Friday, April 19. The Warriors & Cherokees enter the challenge with a record of 22-7. Tuloso-Midway lost 10-8 in their recent league challenge against Alice (Alice, TX)
