Blue Mountain Eagles (Schuylkill Haven, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Tamaqua Blue Raiders (Tamaqua, PA), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pottsville for a Schuylkill I challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Blue Mountain will battle a Crimson Tide squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Jim Thorpe (Jim Thorpe, PA). The Crimson Tide record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Tamaqua falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Blue raiders host Our Lady of Lourdes Regional (Coal Township, PA) to battle the Red Raiders in a Schuylkill I challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Red Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. Our Lady of Lourdes Regional won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Lehighton (Lehighton, PA)
