Woden Eagles (Woden, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Broaddus Bulldogs (Broaddus, TX), 5-0 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they host Burkeville for a 2A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Woden will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 29-1 league loss to Brookeland (Brookeland, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-17.

With the loss, Broaddus falls to 6-15 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Chireno (Chireno, TX) to battle the Owls in a 2A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Owls enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Chireno won 18-3 in their recent league challenge against Zavalla (Zavalla, TX)
