The Brookland Bearcats softball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Jonesboro Hurricane to 1 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Brookland improves its record to 15-6 on the year. The Bearcats host Gosnell (Gosnell, AR) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 16. The Pirates come into the game with a record of 9-3. Gosnell won 18-0 in their recent league game against Manila (Manila, AR)

In their next game, the Hurricane clash with the Central Tigers (Little Rock, AR) in a 6A Central game, on Tuesday, April 16. Jonesboro will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Tigers come into the game with a 7-7 record after their 15-7 league loss to North Little Rock (North Little Rock, AR).
