Rising Sun Tigers (North East, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Caravel Buccaneers (Bear, DE), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Patterson Mill for a Upper Chesapeake Bay challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Rising Sun will battle a squad coming off a 6-1 league win over Bohemia Manor (Chesapeake City, MD). The record now stands at 7-0.

With the loss, Caravel falls to 6-1 on the campaign. The Buccaneers host Delmarva Christian (Georgetown, DE) to battle the Royals in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22. The Royals enter the challenge with a record of 3-3.
