Huntley Red Raiders (Huntley, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cary-Grove Trojans (Cary, IL), 4-3 in a league challenge.

The Red Raiders now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they host Central for a Fox Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Huntley will face a Rockets squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to Prairie Ridge (Crystal Lake, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Cary-Grove falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Trojans host St. Edward (Elgin, IL) to face the Green Wave in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Green Wave enter the challenge with a record of 4-7. St. Edward lost 20-1 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Francis (Wheaton, IL)
