Hazleton Area Cougars (Hazleton, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Crestwood Comets (Mountain Top, PA), 14-3 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host James M. Coughlin for a Wyoming Valley 2 challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Hazleton Area will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 11-6 league loss to Wyoming Valley West (Plymouth, PA). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Crestwood falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Pittston (Pittston, PA) to face the Patriots in a Wyoming Valley 2 challenge on Wednesday, April 17. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Pittston won 20-0 in their recent league challenge against Wilkes-Barre (Wilkes-Barre, PA)
