Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Streamwood Sabres (Streamwood, IL), 20-3 in a league challenge.

The Maroons now own a 3-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Elgin for a Upstate Eight challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Elgin will face a Storm squad coming off a 10-0 league win over West Chicago (West Chicago, IL). The Storm record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Streamwood falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Sabres travel to Bartlett (Bartlett, IL) to face the Hawks in a Upstate Eight challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 8-5. Bartlett won 15-1 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Edward (Elgin, IL)
