Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears (San Pedro, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Harbor Teacher Monarchs (Wilmington, CA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Polar Bears now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Santee for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Port of Los Angeles will face a Falcons squad coming off a 31-7 league win over Diego Rivera (Los Angeles, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, Harbor Teacher falls to 6-1 on the campaign. The Monarchs host Dorsey (Los Angeles, CA) to face the Dons in a Coliseum challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Dons enter the challenge with a record of 1-5. Dorsey won 20-9 in their recent league challenge against Locke (Los Angeles, CA)
