The John Adams Spartans (Ozone Park, NY) softball routed the host Hillcrest Hawks (Jamaica, NY), 17-12 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Spartans (1-4) will now prepare for their bout against Forest Hills (Forest Hills, NY). The Rangers go into the non-league bout with a 6-0 record. In their last bout, Forest Hills held off Edison (Queens, NY), 18-0, in a league bout.

The Hawks now possess a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Maspeth for a non-league bout on Wednesday, April 17. Hillcrest will confront a squad coming off a 21-1 non-league win over Bryant (Queens, NY). The record now stands at 2-3.
