Laconia Sachems (Laconia, NH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Kennett Eagles (Conway, NH), 6-5 in a league challenge.

The Sachems now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Kingswood for a Division II challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Laconia will battle a Knights squad coming off a 20-0 league win over Plymouth (Plymouth, NH). The Knights record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Kennett falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Berlin (Berlin, NH) to battle the Mountaineers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 17. The Mountaineers enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Berlin lost 17-4 in their recent league challenge against St. Thomas Aquinas (Dover, NH)
